PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL OPERATING PERMIT

Per Ordinance No. 09-070 - effective September 1, 2009, an owner of any property served by a private sewage disposal system (septic tank and field) shall obtain an operating permit for any new sewage disposal system and any existing systems at the time of purchase of property served by a private sewage disposal system.  The cost of the permit is a one-time fee of $25.00 as long as the service and maintenance agreement is maintained, non-transferrable. In order to obtain the operating permit the property owner must maintain in force a service and maintenance agreement with a County licensed on-site sewage disposal system contractor. You must attach to the application: a copy of the executed service and maintenance agreement, the contractor's certification of the service and maintenance agreement, and payment in the amount of $25.00.
