| St. Charles County building officers seek to identify and prevent all hazards related to the design, erection, repair, removal, demolition, or use and occupancy of buildings, structures, and premises in unincorporated areas. This is accomplished through review of building construction plans, construction inspections, and enforcement of county building codes and regulations which set safety standards for all aspects of building construction including structural, fire, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. St. Charles County is currently using 2003 International Residential Code; 2003 International Building Code; 2003 International Plumbing Code; 2003 International Mechanical Code; 2003 International Fire Code; and 2002 National Electric Code. |
